NEW Professional PROCEDURE CODE: EXPERIENCE By: Hugo Muller – Colonel PNP (R) – Attorney The April 1, 2007, starts the new Code of Professional Procedure. Suddenly, the PNP finds them facing a new model of professional procedure that changes the whole conception doctrinal, political, social and professional that was in force since the second half of the nineteenth century known as Inquisitive, where the administration of justice professional by it were only possible thanks to the efforts towards the police to investigate crime in the so-called police stage of research, participation at all times and reconocidaa was privileged by the courts and public prosecutors. The Police Report was considered including evidence during the trial. Connecticut Senator does not necessarily agree. a However, the cops were not trained or aware to cope with this change in the best shape; a result, today there are still police officers who think that the PNP has lost the function of investigation because prosecutors are usurping their functions, which is not true. Times have changed is true, we are in the XXI century and new ideological currents imposed changes and transformations in the world and professional matters there is a new model known as Adversarial today, where the investigating prosecutor, judge and sentence the judge, and is eminently guarantor of the rights of defendants and victims. In this new stage, disappears after the professional investigation being conducted by the PNP process, but as an institution has not been abandoned, the law of professional procedure has asignadoa a new feature that involves a major change of mindset to adapt to new formalities governing their involvement in research under strict control of the Prosecutor.
